Kerstin Anita Marianne Ekberg (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29 September 1931 from September 1931 until January 11, 2015) was an Swedish actress, who was active in American and European films, renowned for her beauty and striking appearance. Her role as Sylvia in Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita (1960) has made her famous. Ekberg was a primarily Italian worker, and she became permanent residents of Italy in 1964.
